They Reveal Real Madrid's Call to Sergio Ramos after Militão's Injury

Some of Ramos's friends from the club contacted him after Militão's serious injury, although the club didn't call him

Éder Militão's injury opened up a possibility that many Real Madrid fans dreamed of: the return of Sergio Ramos. Even if he didn't receive an official call from the club, journalist Manolo Aguilar from Radio Sevilla revealed that some of the his friends from Madrid got in touch with him.

According to Aguilar, Ramos knew that Florentino Pérez had no intention of calling him to reinforce the white defense. However, he held a small hope inside that the situation could change.

"In his inner forum, Sergio thought that, at the last moment, he might receive that call. He harbored some hope of returning after the injuries to Militão and Carvajal," Aguilar confessed on Cadena SER.

The hope of returning to Bernabéu

Ramos, currently without a team, remains a player with significant weight in the soccer scene. Although some see him as retired, Manolo Aguilar made it clear that this is not the reality.

"Knowing him a little, I wouldn't dare say that Sergio Ramos is retired. The market is still open in January, and anything can happen," the journalist added.

The return of Ramos would have been a temporary solution to Real Madrid's defensive problems. After Militão's serious injury and Carvajal's physical issues, Carlo Ancelotti's team has had to look for internal and market alternatives.

Although it ultimately didn't happen, the possibility of returning to the club where Ramos became a legend caused a lot of excitement among Madrid fans.

Ramos, an active legend

At 38 years old, the Cameroonian doesn't rule out continuing to compete at the highest level. His experience, leadership, and knowledge of the club would have been a great asset for Real Madrid.

Time will tell if Ramos finds a new team or if he eventually returns to Bernabéu in some other capacity. For now, he remains one of the great figures in recent soccer history.

The call from his friends within Madrid shows that Ramos still has very strong ties with the club. Although Florentino didn't make a move this time, the future could hold a surprise. Madrid fans don't lose faith in seeing their captain return.
