RealMadrid TV to Imanol Alguacil, Whom They Knock Out for His Whining: 'I Recommend...'
The Real coach complained about the refereeing against Madrid and overlooked the plays where his team was favored
Real Madrid became the first finalist of the Copa del Rey this Tuesday by drawing at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium against Real Sociedad (4-4) and making their advantage in the tie count, having won at Anoeta last February 26 thanks to a goal by Endrick.
However, the fact that Madrid has reached their second final in 2025, after the Spanish Super Cup last January, hasn't been well-received within Real Sociedad and was evident at the end of the match played in Chamartín.
Imanol Alguacil repeatedly complained in a press conference about Alberola Roja's refereeing, recalling a controversial play that, in his opinion, was a clear differential factor: Kylian Mbappé's offside in the play that would end in a corner kick leading to the 3-3, scored by Aurélien Tchouameni.
"It's offside and those are always called, I don't know why this time it wasn't... Madrid is a big team and doesn't need help. I'm very clear that they wouldn't have given the goal if it had happened in the other area," Alguacil stated.
It's not the first time Imanol has made statements of this nature, a critical tone he usually relaxes when facing Barcelona. A matter of priorities, we suppose, that very well illustrate each one's likes and dislikes...
Realmadrid TV Responds
Realmadrid TV didn't miss the opportunity to respond to Imanol Alguacil, especially after refereeing that, contrary to the official narrative, wasn't beneficial at all for Real Madrid, who suffered a penalty on Jude Bellingham at the start of the second half and Vinícius, already in extra time, was knocked down by Olasagasti in a card that, at the very least, was orange.
"I recommend Imanol Alguacil to watch his player's tackle on Vinícius and his goalkeeper Remiro's slap on Jude Bellingham, when he faces Barcelona he accepts everything and seems to enjoy it," Miguel Ángel Muñoz replied from Madrid's official channel.
