Reason Real Madrid isn't Increasing the Offer to Alphonso Davies, 8 million
The sports management has several alternatives prepared for the summer market
Real Madrid is experiencing a complicated competitive moment in several ways. Besides the defeat in the Spanish Supercopa final, one of the transfers they've been working on for several years might be about to "fall through". The renewal of Alphonso Davies with Bayern Munich, most European media agree, would happen imminently.
The failure of the Meringue leadership in acquiring the Bavarian '19' has a well-known remedy in the Valdebebas offices. Precisely supported by that 'plan B', the executives led by Florentino Pérez have been very clear with Davies's entourage: they will not improve the financial aspect of their last offer.
However, Real Madrid will not change their contract offer to Alphonso Davies. Aware that transfer the left winger as a free agent could become complicated, talent scouts led by Juni Calafat have been working tirelessly to have a 'plan B'.
All set
The player who could arrive instead of Alphonso Davies this very summer is Miguel Gutiérrez. The '3' from Girona, since leaving Real Madrid, has experienced and demonstrated great competitive growth and is one of the best players in LaLiga. The sports management hasn't lost track of him in these last two years; aware that the conditions for his return to Santiago Bernabéu locker room are very favorable.
Because Miguel Gutiérrez could return this very summer to the capital of Spain through the payment of eight million euros. The agreement signed with Girona in mid-2022 makes this low-cost transfer possible thanks to a clause, identical to those requested in departures like Fran García or Nico Paz.
The recovery of Girona's '3' doesn't seem to be an especially complicated operation, at least for now. Rumors of interest from several elite European teams haven't materialized. The white club would be alone in a transfer whose conditions, given what the Madrid defender can offer, are more favorable than originally thought.
