Regrettable Image of Dani Olmo After Koundé's Goal Against Real Madrid, Caught

The Barça player had a rather unpleasant gesture toward the Real Madrid bench

The final of the Cup between Barça and Real Madrid will be etched in everyone's memory for everything that happened. From Koundé's goal to Antonio Rüdiger's performance, including the controversial celebrations of Gavi and Dani Olmo, two footballers from Barcelona.

Barça took the lead with a goal from Pedri, but Real Madrid replied. The whites turned the score around thanks to goals from Mbappé and Tchouaméni. Ferran Torres managed to equalize the score before regulation time ended, forcing an overtime full of tension.

It was then that Koundé took advantage of a defensive error to score the goal that sealed the title for the team led by Hansi Flick. A lack of understanding between Brahim Díaz and Luka Modric led to the Frenchman's recovery. Immediately afterward, the full-back finished outstandingly to beat Thibaut Courtois.

A Final Full of Tension

The intensity of the match culminated in celebrations full of tension, some of which were misinterpreted and not all were well received. In particular, two gestures from FC Barcelona players caused controversy and reignited the debate on how far sports rivalry should go.

Gavi, who came on in the second half, starred in one of the most talked-about moments of the match. At the end of the match, he quickly approached Raúl Asencio to celebrate defiantly in front of him. The gesture, which was widely captured by cameras, was interpreted as an unnecessary provocation and a lack of respect.

Raúl Asencio's reaction was one of total indifference, avoiding responding to the provocation. However, Gavi wanted to seek controversy at the moment De Burgos Bengoetxea indicated the end.

Dani Olmo's Regrettable Reaction

Another controversial moment was led by Dani Olmo, who approached the Madrid bench making the "crying" gesture with his hands. Although this episode did not have as much coverage as Gavi's, it also ended up being seen and showed how some do not know how to handle victory.

Gavi and Dani Olmo made gestures that drew attention, while Lamine Yamal, with his glasses, showed some arrogance. Meanwhile, Íñigo Martínez criticized Real Madrid's attitude toward the referees: "Real Madrid has not been up to par with the videos and today soccer has won."
