Revolution in Real Madrid's Goal: an Exit and a Signing Are Being Negotiated

The moves Real Madrid is planning to secure the future of its goalkeeping

With Thibaut Courtois's presence, Real Madrid's goal has been secure for several years. The Belgian goalkeeper, since his arrival at the club, has made saves and performances that are part of the team's history.  However, the club has begun to make the necessary moves to secure its goal for more seasons.

With the intention of making a revolution, everything points to Andriy Lunin leaving Real Madrid. The Ukrainian goalkeeper, who was important for much of last season, has received countless offers to leave the club. The Merengue team, aware of this, continues with its stance of leaving the path clear in case he decides to leave Valdebebas.

The departure of the Ukrainian would open a spot in the squad that the club will seek to fill with Joan García.  The Espanyol goalkeeper has remained a target for Real Madrid for a long time due to his talent and youth.

Goalkeeping Moves

At 26 years old, Lunin established himself last season as a top-level goalkeeper.  In the face of Courtois's injury, the Ukrainian assumed the starting position, exceeding all expectations. However, with the return of the Belgian goalkeeper, Lunin has returned to his position as a substitute, seeing his playing time drastically reduced.

Meanwhile, Lunin's departure from the Merengue team has ceased to be a possibility and has become more of a complete reality.  Although the club he will end up playing for is still unknown, the Ukrainian's farewell is only a matter of time.

With a contract until 2030, his departure would leave significant profits that could be used for the signing of Joan García. The 23-year-old goalkeeper is one of the great talents of Spanish soccer, with a talent that can place him among the best.

A Secured Future

Although it was thought that finding Lunin's replacement would be more complicated, Real Madrid has shown that it already had everything prepared.  Now it only remains to wait for the summer market to witness the change in Real Madrid's goal.
