Bombshell at Right Back, Alexander-Arnold is Not the Chosen One and There's a Plan B

The young promise that has gained more importance than Alexander-Arnold to reach Real Madrid in an upcoming market

Needing to reinforce the right wing position, following Carvajal's injury, Real Madrid has set Trent Alexander-Arnold's transfer. The Liverpool winger, whose contract expires in 2025, was the chosen one to join the team. However, the emergence of a young talent in LaLiga has caused Real Madrid to change its objective.

The player who has been placed in the team's sights is the young Juanlu, who has been shining with Sevilla. Despite his young age, the winger has shown himself to be a quality alternative for Alexander-Arnold's transfer.

Although his contract doesn't expire next summer like the Englishman's, his potential has attracted a lot of interest from Real Madrid. Renewing its team for several seasons with young talent, the winger is part of the club's future plans.

A romise for the ide

At just 21 years old, Juanlu has managed to demonstrate his talent in the minutes he has played. Accumulating 726 minutes this season, the young winger has been gaining relevance within the Sevilla team. In addition to this, his performance with the Spanish Under-21 team was crucial in winning the gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games.

The interest that Real Madrid have in transfer him is a sign of the quality that Juanlu has. Although his contract with Sevilla runs until 2026, this wouldn't represent a problem. Less so for a Real Madrid that has the financial power to undertake an operation of this caliber.

However, his possible arrival still depends entirely on the situation with Arnold. The British full-back hasn't renewed his contract with Liverpool but negotiations with Real Madrid haven't begun. Juanlu's visit to Santiago Bernabéu for the last game of the year could be crucial to the outcome of his transfer.

The transfer to be analyzed

Despite the enormous talent that Juanlu has shown, Real Madrid hasn't decided to sign him. Having to analyze his performance more thoroughly, the player will have to improve his level much more. This is because at the white club there's only room for the best and he, with effort and dedication, can be one of them.
