Rodrygo and another player for €150M, Guardiola goes all out
The coach wants to compete for all the titles again and wants to strengthen his squad with the Brazilian and Donnarumma
Manchester City is preparing for a busy summer. The English club wants to invest €150 million ($150 million) to sign Rodrygo Goes and Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The goal is clear: strengthen the team for the Premier League and the Champions League. After a poor season, Pep Guardiola is looking to make a statement in the market.
Rodrygo, absolute priority
Rodrygo is at a key moment in his career. Although he has been decisive in recent Real Madrid titles, the competition in attack and the arrival of reinforcements have cast doubt on his continuity.
City is already preparing a €100 million ($100 million) offer: €80 million ($80 million) fixed and €20 million ($20 million) in variables. "Rodrygo is a player with speed, goals, and the ability to unbalance, exactly what we need," say members of the club's coaching staff.

The Brazilian scored 14 goals and provided 10 assists last season. City hopes to finalize the sale of Savinho in order to go all out for the winger. Tottenham had offered €70 million ($70 million) for him, but the English club rejected it.
Donnarumma, security between the posts
The second target is Gianluigi Donnarumma, PSG's goalkeeper. The French side has valued him at €50 million ($50 million) and left him out of the squad for the UEFA Super Cup against Tottenham, which points to his departure.
At 26 years old and a Euro 2020 champion, Donnarumma is seen by Guardiola as Ederson's ideal replacement. In the last Champions League, he had a 78% save rate and kept 6 clean sheets.

His arrival will depend on Ederson's departure to Galatasaray, a deal that could be closed for €30 million ($30 million). City plans to reinvest that money to sign the Italian goalkeeper.
Impact on Real Madrid and PSG
If City manages to sign both players, it will add offensive talent and defensive security. Rodrygo would offer new options in attack, while Donnarumma would provide confidence in goal.
Real Madrid would have to reorganize its forward line if the Brazilian leaves. Florentino Pérez and Xabi Alonso will analyze whether the offer is sufficient to let go of a player who has scored in three consecutive European semifinals.
Meanwhile, PSG has already replaced Donnarumma with Lucas Chevalier. In fact, the French goalkeeper was already the starter in the UEFA Super Cup final.
If everything goes through, Guardiola will have strengthened two key positions with top-level players, showing his ambition to dominate England and Europe once again.
