Romario erases Vinícius but Ancelotti decides: his ideal attack for Brazil

The Brazilian legend spoke about Vinícius's role in the 'canarinha'

Romário has once again shared his opinion about the Brazil national team, surprising everyone this time by leaving Vinícius out of his ideal front three. In a clear and direct statement, the "Baixinho" chose Neymar, Raphinha, and Luiz Henrique as his preferred strikers for the national squad. In fact, besides leaving out Vini, he also did the same with Rodrygo Goes.

According to Romário, if all the forwards were in perfect physical condition, he would choose that trio instead of one with a traditional "number nine." "With everyone in top form? I would put Neymar, Raphinha, and Luiz Henrique," he explained.

The Brazilian legend argues that Brazil can be a very powerful team without having a pure striker. However, his explanations do not make much sense, since he includes in his trio a player who is almost retired, like Neymar.

Why does Romário choose that trio?

According to Romário, when Neymar is at one hundred percent, he will be a very important player for Brazil. However, the Carioca has been retired from soccer for quite some time, playing in his home country and without much relevance in purely sporting terms.

Moreover, the Carioca believes that Luiz Henrique could have a place in Brazil's starting eleven after his match against Bolivia. It is true that the winger had a good game, but it is not enough to leave out other figures like Vinícius or Rodrygo.

Romário's words have caused quite a stir in Brazil, since leaving Vinícius and Rodrygo out of the starting eleven is very uncommon. Both have a great deal of experience in decisive elite matches, something that other footballers like Luiz Henrique do not even have.

Carlo Ancelotti will make the final decision

Fortunately, Carlo Ancelotti will be the one to make the final decision. The Italian coach knows the Real Madrid player perfectly, and most likely Vinícius will be the owner of the left wing.

It remains to be seen how Carlo Ancelotti will act with Rodrygo Goes. The man from Reggiolo trusts the winger's return, but he has also made it clear that the position must be earned on the field. Meanwhile, the Real Madrid striker is still not a starter under Xabi Alonso.
