Roncero's reflection on whether Rodrygo should stay at Real Madrid: 'Lo...'

The journalist focuses on the Brazilian footballer's future and gives his opinion about how this story will end

Tomás Roncero, deputy editor of Diario AS, has spoken about Rodrygo Goes's future. He did so on Cadena Ser's Carrusel Deportivo, right before the match between Real Madrid and RB Salzburg.

The journalist, who, as you already know, is a self-confessed Madridist, has been quite clear when giving his opinion on the situation of the "11". "I wouldn't sell him for less than €100 million. He's world-class, but right now he's at the end of the line for Xabi Alonso," he began by stating.

He also believes that if the Merengue side receive a good amount of money for the winger, they could try to bring in a midfielder. In fact, the Donostian coach would be delighted to have a central midfielder.

"Real Madrid have to make a move if they sell Rodrygo. However, it's also true that it's going to give a lot of hierarchy to Tchouaméni, Güler can play there and even Mastantuono. Let's see what happens," he pointed out on the radio.

What is clear is that signings are completely on hold. Right now, there are no moves in Bernabéu's offices and everything will resume once the World Cup ends. This competition is what is drawing the attention of the club's top executives.

Xabi Alonso shows affection

Unlike what happened in the match against Pachuca, Rodrygo came on in the second half of the third match against RB Salzburg. The Brazilian made his appearance in the final moments and didn't manage to stand out. However, Xabi, once the referee blew the final whistle, went over to him to show him all his affection.

The Tolosa native is being very close to the footballer. From the day of his presentation, he told the media that he was counting on him and that he was going to need him. It's true that it's curious to see how he no longer starts, but it seems he wants to keep him in his plans.

However, it's difficult to think that the player is going to accept this role. He has a market, especially in the Premier League, and in Chamartín's executive offices they're open to listening to offers.
