Siro López announces Madrid's condition, Carreras could be the last signing

The journalist claims that the arrival of the full-back will be the last one, except if a major sale like Rodrygo's takes place

Real Madrid considers the transfer market closed with the arrival of Álvaro Carreras. This is what journalist Siro López has confirmed, who revealed the club's immediate plans. The presentation of the Galician full-back is scheduled for this Tuesday, and it will mark the end of the signings chapter.

"Next Tuesday, Álvaro Carreras will be announced and presented as a new Real Madrid player and, from then on, Real Madrid's idea is to definitively close signings for next season," Siro explained on his YouTube channel.

Total trust in the squad

The club believes that the squad is balanced after the end of the Club World Cup. According to Siro, Xabi Alonso thinks that no more signings are needed. The coach has told the board that the positions are well covered, and that even players like Gonzalo have passed their "test" in the first team with flying colors.

"Real Madrid believes, in conversations with Xabi Alonso, that the squad is sufficiently covered. Álvaro Carreras would take that 25th spot among the players who currently have a first-team contract," the journalist detailed.

From Valdebebas, the performances of footballers like Gonzalo or Arda Güler are valued, and the club is also betting on Ceballos's continuity, unless an unexpected offer arrives.

Only a sale would change everything

The scenario, however, could change if a major sale happens. Siro points out that Rodrygo or Ceballos are the only names that could reopen the market in case of a departure.

"Only a strategic move by a player or a major sale, such as Rodrygo's case, could make it possible for the transfer window to reopen," Siro López warned.

For now, there are no offers on the table. As long as that doesn't happen, the club won't sign either a center-back or a midfielder. This is the decision made by Florentino Pérez together with the coaching staff.

Carreras will be, if nothing goes wrong, Real Madrid's last signing this summer. Xabi Alonso, with the full squad, will begin to shape his project without any more new faces.
