Solari Asks Florentino for a €45 Million Signing to Win the Club World Cup

After the elimination in the Champions League and losing the Copa del Rey, Real Madrid is focused on LaLiga but, above all, on the Club World Cup. With Ancelotti being close to finishing his cycle with Real Madrid, Santiago Solari is set to be the club's new coach. Having previously managed the team, this is his second opportunity.

With Real Madrid planning for Ancelotti to finish LaLiga with Real Madrid, Solari has focused his attention on the Club World Cup.  Held during the month of June, Solari has requested the signing of Franco Mastantuono. The current River Plate player has been chosen by Solari to be responsible for leading Real Madrid to glory.

Although Real Madrid's interest in Mastantuono is not recent, his signing could be expedited at Solari's request. Having to pay 45 million euros for Mastantuono, this operation could be key for the Club World Cup.

Solari's Request

At 17 years old, Franco Mastantuono has proven to be a quite talented midfielder. Trained in River Plate's youth academy, Mastantuono hasn't taken long to secure a place in the first team squad. Considered one of the best Argentine talents, it's no surprise that his future is linked with Europe.

Real Madrid, for months, saw Mastantuono as the ideal player to renew and strengthen their midfield. However, due to the interest of other clubs, Mastantuono's desire to stay, Real Madrid hadn't made any move for him.

This, following Santiago Solari's request, could be about to change, with Mastantuono being close to joining Real Madrid. While Mastantuono still has much to prove, Solari's request shows the confidence he has in his young compatriot.
