De La Fuente Recommends a Signing to Real Madrid, Good for the Spanish National Team

The Spanish coach highlights the great level of a footballer who interests Real Madrid

Dean Huijsen is one of the names that are most strongly mentioned as a possible reinforcement for Real Madrid in the near future. The young center-back, who turned 20 last April, is having a great season at Bournemouth. Additionally, his great level has led him to have minutes with Spain in what was his first draft with the senior team.

His coach, Luis de la Fuente, referred to him on the program "Fútbol es Fútbol," stating: "For us, Huijsen is not a surprise. We've followed him closely and he had already gone through the lower categories, although not for long because he's very young."

A Player Who Can Be Key for Spain

Additionally, the national coach explained why talents like Dean Huijsen enter Spain's radar so early. "When I arrived in 2022, there were few people who knew the present and future of the National Team like I did. It doesn't have more merit than doing our job well."

Meanwhile, Luis de la Fuente highlighted the importance of acting quickly in cases like the center-back's. It is worth remembering that his mother is Dutch and that, therefore, he could have chosen to represent Netherlands.

Could Be Signed by Real Madrid

When asked if Dean Huijsen has the level to play at Real Madrid, Luis de la Fuente was clear in his response during the program "Fútbol es Fútbol."

"If he has no issues, because he can play anywhere and I don't see limits for him, right now he can play for a big club. Huijsen is having a great season in England and is ready. I'm sure that over time he will continue to improve," explained Luis de la Fuente.

Additionally, the coach highlighted what this means for the national team. "The best news for the National Team is that there are many players who are still unknown to most, but not to those of us in the house. That allows us to predict a good future for Spanish soccer," he commented.

However, Luis de la Fuente also wanted to send a message of caution. "We have to teach them that this is a process and that they can't lose their footing. We must maintain humility because soccer can change from one day to the next," he concluded.
