Stuttgart's response to Real Madrid regarding Woltemade's signing: 'We want...'

He is well liked at Real Madrid and his team has already considered the interest from the Merengues

Real Madrid is currently competing in the Club World Cup with the match against Salzburg as its next challenge. However, this is an unusual summer since this tournament has affected the transfer market. Los Merengues moved quickly, but some deals have been put on hold.

This is the case with signing a striker, which was one of the requests Xabi Alonso made upon his arrival. To everyone's surprise, in recent days the name Nick Woltemade has gained momentum. The Stuttgart striker has been one of the biggest revelations in the Bundesliga.

Young, strong in the air, but also capable of dropping back and offering different options in the play. Woltemade is an ideal candidate to strengthen Real Madrid's attack. However, it doesn't seem like Stuttgart is considering losing its forward.

According to sources close to the German club, they've sent a clear message:  "We want him to stay." They know that a call from Real Madrid could be too tempting for the player. Their intention is to do everything possible to keep him from leaving during this summer.

Xabi Alonso keeps asking for a Joselu-type striker

As we've already mentioned, Xabi Alonso has made several requests to the board for next season. One of them was signing a powerful striker who's strong in the air. Someone to fill the gap Joselu left when he departed last summer, which they haven't been able to fill.

This is essential, as was shown in the second leg against Arsenal in the Champions League. Real Madrid kept sending crosses into the box, but they couldn't find a target. Neither to finish on goal nor to bring the ball down and set up one of its teammates.

That's why they're considering bringing in a striker who can fit that player profile. Nick Woltemade is a great alternative, at 23 years old and with a market value of €30 million. However, he has a contract until 2028, and it doesn't seem like they're going to agree to sit down and negotiate his possible transfer.
