Tchouaméni is the most excited about Konaté's signing: the '14' gives his approval

The reason why Aurélien Tchouaméni celebrates the imminent signing of Ibrahima Konaté by Real Madrid

As days go by, Ibrahima Konaté's signing for Real Madrid seems like an increasingly likely possibility. Liverpool's search for center-backs has opened the door for the Frenchman's departure. This, as we know at Defensa Central, has made Tchouaméni happy because he won't play as a center-back anymore.

Throughout last season, the Frenchman was Carlo Ancelotti's solution to the wave of injuries that affected the backline. Although Tchouaméni didn't perform poorly, it was clear that his role isn't to be a center-back. Tchouaméni's preferred position is in the midfield, where he has left a good impression whenever he has had the chance to play there.

Konaté's arrival would give Real Madrid much-needed center-backs for the coming seasons. This would obviously free Tchouaméni to focus solely on the midfield. The only problem is that, for now, Real Madrid hasn't made an offer for Konaté.

Tchouaméni's approval

Signed in 2022 from AS Monaco, Aurélien Tchouaméni has had a more than interesting development at Real Madrid. Although the Frenchman arrived to strengthen the midfield, injuries have forced him to cover the backline during several matches. A situation that clearly hasn't allowed him to progress in the desired way.

Even though Eder Militao has returned after his serious injury, Tchouaméni hopes the club will secure Konaté's signing. The Liverpool center-back, 26 years old, has been one of the best in the Premier League. In addition to his youth, his experience would be a great help to improve the backline.

Although Dean Huijsen's signing has been a success, the Spaniard needs a partner who can provide the same security to the team. Even though Konaté is valued at €60 million according to Transfermarkt, Real Madrid won't pay this price. This is because the Frenchman could leave as a free agent next summer.

A key signing for Real Madrid

With the time remaining before the end of the transfer window, Real Madrid must make an offer as soon as possible. Liverpool, unable to renew Konaté, is in a critical situation. If it wants to generate some income from Konaté, the club will have to accept the offer presented by Real Madrid.
