One of the players who kept in Real Madrid's orbit for much of the season was Alphonso Davies. With Real Madrid looking to strengthen their left-back position, the club saw Davies as the perfect player. However, his renewal with Bayern Munich caused Real Madrid to drop their interest and look at other options.

While Carreras and Miguel Gutiérrez are two of the full-backs most linked to Real Madrid, both might not join the club. The reason for this is Xabi Alonso's interest in Alejandro Grimaldo and Federico Dimarco. Having it quite clear that he must strengthen the left flank, Xabi considers Grimaldo and Dimarco as the best.

Knowing Grimaldo perfectly, the player could join Xabi in his new adventure as Real Madrid's coach. Dimarco, on the other hand, would be a reinforcement of quite high quality, especially after having been able to stop Lamine Yamal.
