The 4 academy players who will be at Real Madrid in 2025-26 stay after the World Cup.

Fran González as third goalkeeper, Raúl Asencio, Gonzalo García, and Víctor Muñoz have impressed Xabi Alonso's coaching staff

The Club World Cup is serving as a showcase for several young players from Real Madrid. Some are taking advantage of the opportunity. So much so, it has already been decided that they will be part of the first team squad in the 2025-26 season.

There are four academy players. Four footballers who are convincing Xabi Alonso and the club. Barring any surprises, they will be in the first team locker room after the summer.

Asencio, contract renewal closed

The first is Asencio. The center-back has been one of the names of the season. He will renew his contract until 2029 with a salary of €6.2 million per season and will be a first team player in every respect.

Xabi Alonso sees him as a candidate to keep occupying the center of the defense with Huijsen or as ideal in a three-center-back defense with Rudiger and the Spaniard.

Asencio can play as a right-back or center-back. He has good ball distribution and great defensive reading, which allows him to get ahead of the forwards. In addition, his speed goes unnoticed until you see him in full action.

Fran González, the third goalkeeper

The second is Fran González. The goalkeeper will stay as the team's third goalkeeper. He has worked at a high level in training and his performance has been well received. He has good positioning, reflexes, and a competitive mindset. He will not play much, but he is clearly a bet for the future.

Gonzalo, the '9' who excites

The third is Gonzalo García. He has already been compared to Benzema for his play style. He not only scores goals, but also provides assists and improves his teammates. In the Club World Cup, he is leaving a great impression: a goal in the first match, an assist in the second, and a starting spot in both.

Xabi wants a mobile '9' with vision and scoring ability. Gonzalo fits that profile perfectly and his place in the first team is almost confirmed, despite having significant offers from top division teams.

Víctor Muñoz, the game changer

The fourth name is Víctor Muñoz. He doesn't have as much spotlight as the previous ones, but he has shown that he can make a difference coming off the bench.

He has dribbling, speed, and personality, making him ideal for breaking open tight matches. The coaching staff see him as a reliable game changer.

If there are no unexpected moves, these four academy players will remain at the top level. Real Madrid trusts their talent and the future, little by little, is starting to be theirs.
