The 7 Requirements to be President of Real Madrid: Florentino, Reelected
The white club has announced the top leader's stay for four more years
On January 2nd, the start of the process to call elections was announced. The deadline to submit a candidacy was 11:59 p.m. this Saturday.
After the deadline, no one came forward with the intention to run for the presidency of Real Madrid.
These are the requirements to be a candidate:
- Be Spanish.
- Be of legal age and with full capacity to act.
- Be up to date with the fulfillment of social duties.
- Be a member of the Club with at least twenty years of uninterrupted seniority for the President. Fifteen years for Vice Presidents and ten years in other cases.
- Not be subject to any sanction that disqualifies you from holding managerial positions.
- Not hold a managerial position in other Football Clubs. Nor be active as a Player, Referee, Coach, or Technician of the same at the time of the proclamation as a candidate.
- Provide a guarantee of 15% of the club's general expense budget.
Additionally, it is explained that candidates must guarantee 15% of the general budget of the white club.
The current budget of Madrid is 1,127.9 million euros. Therefore, the candidacy that presents itself would have to guarantee almost 170 million euros.
It was last Tuesday when he and his Board of Directors were officially reaffirmed in their positions.
