These are the teams that have spent the most on signings, total splurge in the Premier League.
Premier shows its potential in the market, Tebas is exposed by the figures
Despite Javier Tebas's efforts to sell LaLiga and present it as the best in the world, it's far from it. You only need to look at the teams that have spent the most on signings. The Premier League dominates, and only Real Madrid is able to save face and keep competing.
There are still two months left before the window closes; however, we're experiencing a special summer. The Club World Cup has made everything move faster. Thus, several teams hurried to bring in reinforcements as soon as possible.

It's the Premier League that's dominating, with more than £1.1 billion (1,000 million euros) already invested by its teams in the market. Seven of the ten teams that have spent the most belong to the English league, with Chelsea and Liverpool leading the way. £207.5 million (243.77 million euros) for the Blues and £182.1 million (213.68 million euros) for the Reds so far.
In third place, Real Madrid emerges, the only one keeping up with the Premier League in signings. £111.7 million (131.2 million euros), already including Mastantuono in those figures, almost the same as City's £111.1 million (130.7 million euros). Although Guardiola's side already made a major outlay last January.
Laliga only includes Real Madrid in the top 10 of highest-spending clubs
Tebas should reconsider the distribution of money in LaLiga, since they can't compete with the Premier League. Real Madrid is saved thanks to the sporting profits it has achieved in recent years. But the dominance of English clubs exposes the Spanish competition.

Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester United, Sunderland, and Tottenham also appear in the top 10. Two Serie A clubs, Atalanta and Juventus, complete the list. There's a significant difference between competitions, which shows where things aren't being done right.
There's still a lot of summer left, during which new signings could happen. Real Madrid also wants to bring in Álvaro Carreras, but that won't change its position. They're much further behind the top two in spending, even after adding the Spanish full-back to the accounts.
