This is what the first day of preseason at Real Madrid will be like: schedule and training location

Real Madrid is getting ready to start preseason; this is what the first day will be like

Real Madrid is going to experience an unusual summer after the decision made by Javier Tebas. He hasn't given the Madridists much time to rest after playing in the Club World Cup. That's why they'll have to go through a short preseason to try to reach peak form.

They won't return to work until this Monday, August 4, with the first league match on the 19th. There are only two weeks in which they'll play a friendly on the 12th against Tirol. Xabi Alonso will have little time to prepare for a season that promises to be important.

But for now, Real Madrid for the 2025-2026 season will get underway this coming Monday, August 4. They'll do so in Valdebebas, where the players are scheduled to start work. At 6:00 p.m. they'll gather in Valdebebas for the first session under Xabi Alonso's orders.

First, they'll have to undergo medical tests to make sure there are no physical problems. This is a procedure they should pass, except for the players who are still dealing with an injury. This is how Real Madrid will return after a brief summer break.

An incomplete return and little time to prepare

All the players are scheduled for this Monday, but not all will start training together. This doesn't refer to the injured players who'll have to do a different recovery program. Rather, it's about Franco Mastantuono, who officially isn't a Real Madrid footballer.

Despite this, the Argentine will be in Valdebebas, although he'll be doing a solo session. Xabi Alonso wants him to be in top shape for when he can join the rest of the group. There's no time to waste in such a strange preseason.

Meanwhile, while the rest of the team have been working for some time, Real Madrid haven't done so until this Monday. That's what happens when you reach the Club World Cup semifinals defending the honor of Spanish soccer. Tebas "rewards" you by not postponing the first league match.
