Al Khelaifi's 'threat' to Madrid after winning the Champions League: 'Our mission...'
Al Khelaifi has only won one Champions League and is starting to threaten, while Madrid is now the main target for the French
The dream of winning a Champions League is definitely one of the most unbelievable things a soccer team can have. Even one like Real Madrid, which already has 15 under its belt and is always looking for more. However, the recent new champion, PSG, doesn't seem satisfied with that.
PSG's president hasn't taken long to set the new goal after winning the desired Champions League. Nasser Al Khelaifi, visibly moved by his club's historic achievement, made it clear that he's not satisfied with having reached the top of Europe. His words, direct and ambitious, have been interpreted as a true declaration of war against the traditional giants: "Now our mission is to win the FIFA Club World Cup and then win the Champions League again. That's our mentality."
PSG arrives strong to the new Club World Cup format, and they do so as reigning European champions, having convincingly defeated Inter Milan in the final. If there's one rival everyone is watching in that tournament, it's Real Madrid. Al Khelaifi knows it, which is why his message has a clear target, even if he didn't say it explicitly: the white team.

Parisians already threaten
Paris wants it and seeks to impose itself on the most historic teams in Europe and the world in general. But Real Madrid, the top Champions winner, has no intention of making things easy for the French. To that end, they've already started building a new winning project.

Xabi Alonso's arrival on the bench marks a new era, but also a promise of continued excellence. The former white player arrives with a clear idea of play and a squad that's being reinforced with key pieces. Names like Alexander-Arnold and Huijsen will bring youth and talent to a team that doesn't want to give up even an inch (2.54 cm) in the fight for titles.
Madrid is going for everything
The challenge has been issued, and the white club accepts it with the confidence that comes from its history. Al Khelaifi may have the ambition, but in these kinds of scenarios, experience and the weight of the jersey also matter.
