In recent hours, Tomás Roncero has insisted in the pages of the newspaper AS on bringing back the well-known Trofeo Bernabéu. "Since everything stays at home, I suggest that a few days before the league debut, on the 13th or 14th, the Trofeo Bernabéu could be scheduled. It would also reach its 40th edition, a round number", the journalist commented.
"There wouldn't be any need to get on a plane and, on top of that, it would serve, as in the old days, to present the new signings: Trent, Huijsen, Álvaro Carreras, and Mastantuono", Tomás Roncero indicated.
Luka Modric's return to Santiago Bernabéu?
Additionally, Tomás Roncero suggests that the Trofeo Bernabéu match could be against AC Milan again. That would mean Luka Modric, who is no longer part of Real Madrid's squad, would return to Santiago Bernabéu playing with the Italian side.
"It could even be repeated with Milan, because with Luka Modric in its ranks, Bernabéu would be too small", Tomás Roncero explained.
However, the communicator's message doesn't end there. Tomás Roncero also requested another club for the Trofeo Bernabéu 2025. "Or invite Cristiano's Al Nassr; imagine the madness there would be to attend the Portuguese star's return", he wrote.
