The German legend doesn't rule out returning to Real Madrid to take on a position at the club
"I'd never rule out doing something at the club at some point in the future". Those were the words that Toni Kroos said at the time on 'Einfach mal Luppen', the podcast he hosts with his brother Félix.
Toni Kroos, who retired from professional soccer a year ago, made it clear that he isn't closing the door on collaborating with the club again. In fact, the footballer already played with Real Madrid in the legends match held at Bernabéu. However, the German wants to go a step further.

"Given my closeness to Real Madrid, the relationship with Real Madrid, I'd never rule out doing something at the club at some point in the future", the German said.
These words are reminiscent of what Toni Kroos said after his retirement on the aforementioned podcast. "The meaning of Real Madrid will always be the same for me. It was a very long, great, successful, and also love-filled chapter with Real Madrid", he explained at the time.
"It'll always be that way, I'll always be close to Real, that's undeniable. Defending Real and being on its side, always. That relationship is simply too close for it to change", Toni Kroos added.
Additionally, a year ago he said that he was very focused on his projects, but that could change over time. "Right now I'm totally busy with my projects, but given my relationship with Madrid, I'd never rule out doing something at the club at some point", he noted.
What role could Toni Kroos have at Real Madrid?
After his words, Real Madrid fans have started to imagine what role Kroos could have at the club. Many think he'd be a great coach, while others believe he'll be an ambassador or part of the board.
Other options that could convince Toni Kroos in the short to medium term would be coaching youth teams or being part of Xabi Alonso's technical staff.
However, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Toni Kroos, who could return to Real Madrid sooner than expected.
