Tremendous clapback from Ramón de Mon over Santiago Bernabéu's roof
The well-known communicator had to respond to an Atlético fan on social media
"Real Madrid TV" has become a trending topic this Sunday after showing footage of the retractable roof at Bernabéu. According to several reports, there was a technical failure that left a segment of the stadium exposed to the open air. The incident, which occurred during preparations for the match against Mallorca last Saturday, has sparked memes and mockery among fans and rivals.
Many people think that the footage revealed a failure of the roof: while the narration praised the project, one angle showed a section of stands uncovered, with the sky visible. The post, which garnered thousands of interactions in just a few hours, was quickly pointed out by users as an example of "misplaced pride".

The club hasn't replied yet, but internal sources suggest that the failure was an editing error, not a structural problem. The roof, designed to protect more than 83,000 spectators (83,000) from inclement weather, has been used in many matches. However, this alleged slip-up has tarnished the image of modernity that Real Madrid seeks to project.
Ramón de Mon responds to a fan on "X"
Regarding the roof at Santiago Bernabéu, Ramón Álvarez de Mon had to speak on his social media to expose an Atlético fan.
"'The retractable roof doesn't work.' And other myths", wrote Ramón Álvarez de Mon along with a video showing the aforementioned image.
People started commenting on Ramón's video, until an Atlético fan said the following: "Well done Ramón, good clip of almost a minute where the roof doesn't move at all. Good proof that it works perfectly".
In response to that message, Ramón Álvarez de Mon decided to quote the tweet and reply in an elegant manner. "If the video is from yesterday and yesterday they played with the roof closed...", he replied. The journalist disproved a rumor that has been growing among anti-Madridist circles in recent days.
That's what happened. Real Madrid played its match against RCD Mallorca with the roof completely closed. This is further proof that the roof at Santiago Bernabéu does indeed work without any problems.
