There have been several occasions when Vinícius has had to endure racist insults from the stands. Lamentable episodes that have often resulted in nothing. In other instances, he has even been the one harmed by being sent off the field.

This has happened in several stadiums in Spain but hasn't occurred outside our borders. In other countries, they try to pursue this type of behavior in soccer more actively. Although there are also unfortunate incidents that have nothing to do with the sport.

That's why in the press conference before the Arsenal – Real Madrid match, Bukayo Saka was asked about it. "Racist insults directed at Vinícius? I know him as a player and I know his career. He has had difficult moments, but he has shown that he is bigger than that," the Gunner footballer replied.

Undoubtedly, even though he is going to face Vinícius in the quarter-finals, he hasn't criticized him. On the contrary, he has sided with him, knowing that he has had a hard time because of these incidents. Something that doesn't happen with other LaLiga rivals who continue to blame him for their occurrence.

There have been campaigns against racism in La Liga on several occasions over the past few years. Everyone points out that it is a scourge that must be eradicated in soccer. However, in Vinícius's case, there is always a 'but' that seems to justify the insults.

He has been accused of being a provocateur despite receiving these chants even in matches he didn't play. He has had to hear them as soon as he got off the bus and even before the matches. All of this before he stepped onto the field without even having warmed up.

But for many, he is to blame for the racist insults against him, instead of condemning the offenders. Moreover, not even the referees have protected him, as they don't put an end to these behaviors. In fact, as we have mentioned, he has ended up being sent off on some occasions.
