Vini 'cancels' his contract renewal with Madrid: The response he reportedly gave Florentino

Vinicius Jr. is very clear about his demands to renew his contract with Real Madrid

Real Madrid is experiencing a more turbulent summer than desired, clearly influenced by Vinicius Jr.'s contract renewal.

The Brazilian remains at the center of controversy, something that doesn't please Madridists, as they wait for him to return to training next Monday.

"I hope I can stay here for many years, I've always said it's the club of my life. I'm very happy with everything, the coach and the technical staff, and I hope I can stay here. Yes, I have two years left on my contract... until 2027. I've always said I have to stay here my entire career and make a great history with this team," Vinicius Jr. himself said during the Club World Cup.

These words make everything harder to understand for white fans, as well as for Florentino Pérez.

Vinicius Jr.'s demands don't change

According to what we've learned at Defensa Central, Real Madrid won't give in to Vini's demands.

This is because they believe the Brazilian has dropped his level significantly and the first thing he should think about is getting it back.

In recent hours, journalist Toño García has stated that what's happening now is something the Brazilian's closest circle doesn't understand.

"Vinicius's camp emphasizes that there hasn't been a misunderstanding and they don't understand how it was taken for granted. The agreed salary was €20 million plus bonuses, which is close to what he's currently earning and for which it would be absurd to renew," the journalist explained on El Larguero.

These words further confirm how distant the parties are, something that could be very dangerous, especially because the Carioca's contract ends in June 2027.

The coming days could be key, as Real Madrid will start preseason and Florentino Pérez's idea is to have a face-to-face meeting with Vinicius Jr., especially because he understands his demands, but not the timing, so he'll recommend that he get back to his best version, the one that made him worthy of the Ballon d'Or a year ago, and then negotiate again.
