Vinícius's Words After Debuting as Real Madrid Captain: 'this...'

The Brazilian footballer fulfilled his great dream of being captain of Real Madrid.

Vinícius experienced a very special match in San Sebastián. The forward took to the Reale Arena wearing the captain's armband for Real Madrid and, at the end of the match, expressed his satisfaction with the experience.

"It's something very special after playing here for so long and competing for this team for 4 years. It's a source of pride for me and my whole family after what we've been through to get here", he commented.

"It was already a lot to reach the club of my dreams, but to keep fulfilling them is unbelievable. I hope I can keep doing it for a long time", explained Vinícius.

He Never Imagined He Would Become Real Madrid's Captain

"It's something different because you never imagine it could happen to you. I'm happy with the team's match and for being the captain of the biggest club in the world in a Cup semifinal. It's something inexplicable and I have no words to imagine it", commented Vinícius on the microphone of "Real Madrid TV".

The Brazilian winger was able to be Real Madrid's captain after the absences of Dani Carvajal, Thibaut Courtois, and Fede Valverde. Additionally, Luka Modric and Lucas Vázquez, who are ahead, started the match from the bench.

Happy with His Level and the Team's Victory

"It's a very important victory in a very difficult field. We played very well and defended as the coach asked us to. Endrick scored a great goal", he added.

"We are reaching our best version at the best moment, which is when the good matches come and the ones we like to play. Hopefully, we will win as many titles as possible at the end of the season", replied Vinícius.

Finally, Vinícius also expressed his gratitude for being able to play 300 matches with Real Madrid. Against Real Sociedad, it was his 299th match, so everything points to him reaching the milestone at Benito Villamarín.

"Arriving so young and playing so many matches is something I haven't dreamed of or imagined. Soon I'll reach 300, but I want more, and I want 400 and 500. Hopefully, I can make history at this club", concluded the Brazilian forward for Real Madrid.
