Kylian Mbappé is injured. This was confirmed by Real Madrid itself, after medical tests that the French forward underwent. He suffers from an injury to the thigh of his left leg.

He will not be able to play against Rayo Vallecano in Vallecas next Saturday and, just a few days before the Intercontinental final, it is a serious doubt.

Carlo Ancelotti said it could just be a strain, but the tests carried out this Thursday in Valdebebas say there's something more. This way, Kylian Mbappé is injured again and it is not the first time this has happened since he became a Real Madrid player.

He couldn't finish the first half in Bergamo

Kylian Mbappé's injury occurred in Tuesday's match against Atalanta, corresponding to the sixth day of the Champions League.

The striker, after opening the scoring with a brilliant goal, fell to the ground in the first half and was forced to ask for a substitution. His hands went to his thigh, making it clear that he was suffering from muscle discomfort.

Carlo Ancelotti, who had previously sent Rodrygo Goes to warm up, had to make the change. Initially, the coach attributed it to a muscle strain, but tests have detected a problem in the thigh.

"Following the tests carried out today on our player Kylian Mbappé by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the thigh of his left leg. Pending evolution," the club itself wrote on its official website .

Kylian Mbappé is ruled out of playing this Saturday in Vallecas. However, the question is whether he will be available in six days to play the Intercontinental Cup final. According to Arancha Rodríguez recently, the Frenchman could force himself to play in the aforementioned match.

If Kylian Mbappé is unable to return on the 18th, his target would be Sevilla FC. The Whites will host the Sevillians at the Bernabéu in what will be the last match of the year. If the Frenchman doesn't appear in that match, he wouldn't be available again until 2025.
