Decision is Made and Madrid Knows It: Xabi Alonso Confirms His Future to Florentino

Xabi has spoken with Real Madrid's president and made his future clear

At Real Madrid, they're clear that Xabi Alonso is going to become the  team's  next coach. The fact that he knows the "white club" and his work at Bayer Leverkusen make him the best candidate. Although there's a big question, which is when his transfer will take place.

The coach from Tolosa has a contract until 2026, just like Ancelotti, and it seems their futures are linked. The Italian could stay at Madrid for another year despite the rumors. That would leave the door open to uncertainty with the Basque about returning to the "Meringue" club.

Among other things, because he has interesting offers from other teams to join next summer. However, it seems that in Xabi Alonso's mind, only Real Madrid matters. To such an extent that he confirmed it in a conversation he recently had with Florentino.

According to sources close to the Madrid president, Xabi has assured him that he'll transfer with Madrid. Although the idea is not for it to happen now, but when Ancelotti takes the step. "I'm not going to leave Leverkusen while Ancelotti is still at Madrid" he reportedly confessed.

Ancelotti wants to stay at Real Madrid and fulfilll his contract to the end

Throughout this season, rumors about a possible dismissal of Ancelotti have been constant. However, the Italian has been able to turn the situation around, and right now, his continuity is not ruled out. He's usually in favor of finishing his contract with the "conjunto blanco."

If that happens, Xabi Alonso knows he'd have to wait until 2026 to return to Real Madrid. But it's something he's willing to accept since he doesn't want to leave Bayer Leverkusen. He's rejected the offers that other teams have presented to him.

The "tolosarra" is very alert to what happens with Ancelotti at Bernabéu and whether he stays or leaves. His future depends on that, as he's waiting for the call from Real Madrid to return. The only option on the table that truly motivates him for his next step.
