Xabi Alonso picks up the phone and sets a date for the signing, Ramón von Hannover warns him
Key call to secure a signing, the coach wants him in his squad now
Real Madrid knows they can't lose focus if they want to have the most desired signings on track. This is the case with Franco Mastantuono, who in recent days seems to have become the main target. PSG are also trying to secure his services and want to prevent that.
Ramón de Mon went live on a program in Argentina on ESPN to report everything. He revealed the phone call that Xabi Alonso had with Franco Mastantuono. He stated that "he wants him right now" and not to leave him on loan for another year at River.

The Madridist communicator revealed that long conversation they had. In it, the Basque coach "explained to him what his plans are" if he signs for Real Madrid. He explained if he will have playing time and how he will fit into the project he has for the white team.
"Xabi Alonso has already spoken with the player," he began by saying about that call they had. He added that "he sees him as a right winger and also to play inside." This versatility led him to give the green light to Real Madrid for Mastantuono's signing.
Real Madrid very close to securing Mastantuono's signing
In recent days, PSG had emerged as the main candidate to secure Mastantuono's signing. They were going to pay the approximately €50 million (50 million euros) it will cost to secure his services. This is something that, for the Parisians, as we know, isn't a problem and they're willing to spend big.

But the Argentine player's intention is to prioritize Real Madrid's offer over the rest. He knows that, financially, it won't be as high as what he could get from PSG. However, his decision is to try to end up playing at Bernabéu, as he has already made clear.
He conveyed this last summer to Juni Calafat and Solari when they met with him in Argentina. He has again insisted to his agents that they wait for Real Madrid's offer. So only an agreement between clubs would be needed to have everything settled.
