Xabi Alonso triggers a domino effect involving Davide Ancelotti and Arbeloa

The future of the Basque team's coach could bring more changes to Real Madrid

One of the open fronts that Real Madrid currently has is centered around the coach. The succession from Carlo Ancelotti to Xabi Alonso has reportedly moved considerably closer after the official announcement by the Basque coach, revealing that he will leave Bayer Leverkusen at the end of this season. Despite everything, nothing is assured in that regard.

However, there are multiple sources of information that take for granted that the former Real Madrid player will take the position currently held by the Reggiolo coach... bringing more changes to Real Madrid's sports hierarchy during this summer. Especially considering the future of two very promising coaches of the white entity.

According to the information published by journalist Gianluca di Marzio, both Davide Ancelotti and Álvaro Arbeloa would be two candidates to replace Cesc Fàbregas at the helm of the Italian Como 1907. This succession of the Catalan coach, now focused on the Madrid coaches, would be set in motion as long as Fàbregas himself decides to leave the northern Italian project.

The departure that seems most feasible right now is Davide Ancelotti. After all, Real Madrid's assistant coach would also be forced to leave the club with his father's departure for the next soccer season. For some time, Davide Ancelotti has been linked with several top-level clubs, but none of those offers have convinced him.

Many changes this summer

The approach from Como 1907, provided that Cesc Fàbregas ends his tenure as coach of the Italian team, would have Carlo Ancelotti's son as one of its clear candidates. But the candidacy of Álvaro Arbeloa can't be easily dismissed, considering his successes achieved at the helm of Juvenil A in La Fábrica.

This work with one of the most renowned and followed lower categories of Madrid makes several executives of European clubs point to 'El Espartano' as a potential candidate. It remains to be seen if Arbeloa himself would accept leaving Real Madrid so soon, considering another change in his professional roadmap that has been in preparation for some time.

Because Raúl González Blanco's tenure as coach of Real Madrid Castilla is coming to an end. In that regard, Álvaro Arbeloa would be chosen to replace the legendary '7' of Madrid at the helm of the first white reserve team... especially if the former merengue captain decides to continue his coaching career away from the Madrid 'umbrella'.

In any case, Gianluca di Marzio points out that the future of both coaches depends on Cesc Fàbregas's decision. The Sky Sport journalist only opens up the possibilities for the succession of the Catalan coach, while the first team is also experiencing its own saga with the coaching position.
