Xabi Alonso warns Arbeloa and Florentino: he must be Castilla's starting no. 9 for 25-26

The Tolosa coach is also thinking about the configuration of Real Madrid's first reserve team

Xabi Alonso's arrival to Real Madrid's first team doesn't just have an impact in Santiago Bernabéu locker room. It would also cause a change in dynamics in other football categories of the white squad, especially in Real Madrid Castilla. Now, Álvaro Arbeloa, who had been the Juvenil A coach until then, will take charge of the first merengue reserve team.

This move isn't a coincidence either, given the close personal and professional relationship that connects both Madridist coaches. That bond wouldn't just apply to the plan Xabi Alonso currently has, regularly including the most advanced prospects from La Fábrica in the first team. It also affects possible signings that would strengthen Álvaro Arbeloa's tactical approach.

Especially in light of the imminent departure of one of the most prolific strikers of his generation: Gonzalo García. The undisputed starting striker for Real Madrid Castilla is set to leave this summer, with reasonable and attractive offers from several clubs in the European football elite. His departure would leave the "new" first reserve team without a reference "9", a problem Xabi Alonso would want to solve with one of his favorites.

That's why he would have put forward, for Álvaro Arbeloa and Florentino Pérez, the name of a young talent who's about to join Bayer Leverkusen this summer. The werkself candidacy for the signing of Christian Kofane isn't new in the summer transfer rumors... since Xabi Alonso himself urged the German bosses to try to sign the current Albacete Balompié center forward.

He would be the natural replacement

With that added difficulty, Xabi Alonso believes Christian Kofane would be the ideal striker for Real Madrid Castilla. At just 18 years old, the Cameroonian forward has amply shown his footballing qualities and has attracted the attention of other teams on the Old Continent.

His contract conditions are also an "extra" that encourages top-tier teams, such as Bayer Leverkusen, to be interested in his jump to the highest possible football level. Information from Marcos Benito, journalist from "El Chiringuito de Jugones", indicates that Christian Kofane would have a release clause of five million euros.

That minimum outlay of money required to secure the services of the Albacete Balompié striker would prevent Bayer Leverkusen, at Xabi Alonso's own request, from signing the African striker. That new signing proposal at Real Madrid still has to go through multiple filters before becoming a reality.

The most important one is in Gonzalo García's future. The Spanish striker still hasn't set his new career path: resolving this dilemma within the first reserve team would clarify Kofane's transfer. Until then, Xabi Alonso will keep his request for the Albacete Balompié forward as the ideal replacement for Gonzalo García himself in Real Madrid Castilla.
