Xabi and Real Madrid Have an Agreement, Ancelotti's Future Seen as Decided
Xabi Alonso's name continues to hover over Santiago Bernabéu Stadium
Real Madrid is a club that never stops, as, despite the players being immersed in competition, rumors about the future never end.
This explains why there is constant talk about Ancelotti's departure, even though the Italian has a contract until 2026 and is also fighting for all the titles at stake.
"I want to be very clear: I will never, ever decide the date of my departure from this club. Someday that moment will come, but I don't know when it will be. I don't decide it. It could be tomorrow, in a few matches, a year, five years... Florentino will be here for four more years, and my goal is to reach Florentino's four years so that we can say goodbye together," expressed the Italian coach in a press conference.

The Shadow of Xabi Alonso Continues to Hover Over Santiago Bernabéu
However, the reality is that the continuity of the Reggiolo coach is not guaranteed, as all this will depend on the successes or failures achieved at the end of the current season.
This makes all the noise continue to grow around Carlo Ancelotti and Xabi Alonso, although this won't be decided until the end of the Club World Cup, a tournament that will close the curtain in 2024-2025.
The problem is that in recent hours, journalists Axel Hesse and Phillip Arens have reported that the Real Madrid coach will fulfill his contract, but will then make way for the one from Tolosa.
"Xabi Alonso is Real Madrid's priority to replace Carlo Ancelotti when his contract ends in 2026. The Spaniard is also a topic within Manchester City to possibly replace Pep Guardiola," the communicators explained.

This statement, as expected, is generating a lot of noise, especially because of the timing, which makes many think it is untimely and disrespectful.
For now, the Italian coach doesn't want to comment further on his continuity, as he doesn't want anything to distract his footballers.
Meanwhile, Florentino Pérez agrees with this and is clear that he won't solve this issue until everything is defined in the current season.
