Zidane Asks Florentino Not to Let This Star Slip Away, Liverpool and Bayern Lurk

The former player and former Merengue coach 'rescues' this important name for future sports planning

In the Valdebebas Offices, after everything that has happened this season,  they have considerably modified the planned roadmap for the summer market of 2025. One of the main focuses of the Merengue bosses is on defense, but that  doesn't mean that other projects have been completely abandoned.

One of the most striking and long-lasting over time, for several years now, has returned with the support of its main advocate and promoter: Zinédine Zidane.

Rayan Cherki Is Back in Real Madrid's Orbit

The former player and former coach of Real Madrid always advocated, during his second stage, for the  incorporation of Rayan Cherki, a young French attacking talent  and current footballer of Olympique de Lyon.

Rayan Cherki has stood out recently in Ligue 1 despite the critical situation facing the lyonnais discipline. The complex economic and institutional context  in which this French squad finds itself could well receive a  significant relief with the departure of the French winger, a potential target for several 'big' clubs.

According to the information published by the British tabloid The Sun, Rayan Cherki would be on the target list of clubs like Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayern Munich. That tight situation, with up to three elite squads behind Zinédine Zidane's 'desire', has activated the former Merengue coach. Not only to prevent his move to the competition.

We'll See What Finally Happens with Cherki and Real Madrid

Because Rayan Cherki could be configured as the replacement for one of Real Madrid's great forwards. The doubts surrounding the departure of Vinícius Jr., wanted by Saudi Arabia since last October, open the door to dozens of rumors of arrivals to the team. The board led by Florentino Pérez, however, has a very clear vision of this 'soap opera'.

Not only will they try to renew Vinícius, although they won't do it at any cost, but they have also constantly referred to his release clause. Any team that wishes to sign the '7' verdeamarelo before the summer of 2027, when his current contract ends, will have to pay those 1 billion euros... which none of his offers would be willing to pay.

With the  potential departure of Vinícius Jr., Zinédine Zidane would insist once again on the incorporation of Rayan Cherki. The Merengue bosses already ruled out his incorporation several years ago, a situation that would have extended to this day... and that would only change with a major departure from Santiago Bernabéu locker room.

Meanwhile, Rayan Cherki receives the attention of three elite European football teams interested in his incorporation and that, in a hypothetical 'race' to sign him, would considerably complicate that transaction. Likewise,  the white sports management won't lose sight of other equally or more established alternatives in the elite to have a response to the 'Vinícius case'.
