Ancelotti, Decisive, Reveals the Plan He Intends to Follow With David Alaba

The Austrian defender hadn't started since the day of his injury against Villarreal CF.

David Alaba returned to the starting line-up with Real Madrid after many months in which he had to recover from his tough injury. After the match, which ended with a victory against Girona CF (2-0), the Austrian appeared before the club's media.

"It's a very important victory for us. We're happy and it's a very good moment for everyone. Modrić's goal was unbelievable", he commented first.

"I'm very happy after being injured for so long. I was ready to be a starter", explained David Alaba.

Highlighted the Team's Defensive Work

"We work together and when we do, we're very good. We're dangerous up front and we know it. We've defended very well together", stated the defender.

Real Madrid, which had problems in recent matches to keep a clean sheet, ended unbeaten. Girona CF tried several times, but Thibaut Courtois always looked very secure.

What Did Carlo Ancelotti Say About Him?

"After a very long injury, he's played a good match. He's been comfortable, well-positioned, and calm with and without the ball", commented the Italian coach in the press conference.

"Little by little, he's looking for his best level and we mustn't forget that he was ready a month ago, but he had another injury", he explained.

"He just needs minutes. Playing every three days could be a risk, but one match per week he can handle well without problems. I was able to rest Rüdiger and Valverde and little by little we have less emergency at the back", concluded Carlo Ancelotti regarding the Austrian.

Additionally, Carletto also highlighted the role of the whole team and spoke wonders of Vinícius. "I've seen him at his best. He could have been more accurate in front of the goal, but in the second half, he was unstoppable", he commented.

"He's played a match at his level. He's faced well and had opportunities to score", explained Carlo Ancelotti regarding the Brazilian from Real Madrid.

Finally, Carlo Ancelotti was also questioned about Kylian Mbappé's match, who couldn't score today.

"He was very happy. He didn't score, but he assisted Vini Jr. and was very dangerous in the second half", he concluded.
