Modric, Forceful on Real Madrid Tv, Reveals the Locker Room's Feelings: 'no...'

The Croatian midfielder, who scored a great goal, spoke with the club's media after the victory.

Real Madrid defeated Girona by two goals to zero in the match corresponding to matchday 25 of LaLiga. The white team, which surpassed its rival at Santiago Bernabéu, remains co-leader of the competition after Barça's victory in Gran Canaria.

Carlo Ancelotti's team struggled to open the scoring despite the great chances they had. Kylian Mbappé was somewhat erratic and couldn't find the net today. However, Luka Modric, who seems ageless, was key in the victory.

Luka Modric, Author of a Magnificent Goal

It was the 40th minute of the first half when Luka Modric, with a magnificent shot, broke the deadlock. The Croatian, with a ball that fell at the edge of the box, didn't hesitate for a second and placed the ball in the top corner.

From there, Real Madrid had greater control over the match. Girona CF tried, but the few chances they created were stopped by an alert Thibaut Courtois.

In the second half, the Madrid team was able to run, although the inaccuracy of the front three prevented them from sealing the match early.

It was Vinícius, in the 83rd minute, assisted by Kylian Mbappé, who scored the second goal of the match. The Brazilian, who ended his goal drought in LaLiga, made it 2-0, ending the visitors' hopes.
