Ancelotti Confirms Real Madrid's Transfer in January: He'll be with Us...
Carlo Ancelotti confirms that the player'll be back by January 20th.
Carlo Ancelotti has appeared at a press conference to talk about the upcoming Wednesday game between Valencia CF and Real Madrid. The Italian coach touched on several current topics just hours before the white team's debut in 2025.
However, one of the best pieces of news is the return of David Alaba, which has already been confirmed by CarloAncelotti himself. "When Alaba returns, we'll have the opportunity to rotate a bit more at the back, which is the position where we've suffered a bit more. He's very close, starting from 20...", explained the coach.
Additionally, Ancelotti confirmed that "Next week he'll start playing games", so David Alaba is getting closer to returning. If all goes well, the Austrian defender could make his debut against UD Las Palmas at Santiago Bernabéu.
On Vini Jr.'s condition and the first game of the year
Ancelotti was also asked about Vinícius Jr. The Brazilian, who rested against Sevilla FC, will return to a stadium where he's not very well received.
"Vinícius is doing very well. The break the players had has been good for them. He's fresh, excited, and motivated by the awards he's received in recent days", commented the Italian.
Additionally, Carletto used irony when he was told a negative fact about Real Madrid in the first matches of the year. The white team has lost its first match of January for two consecutive years.
"Thanks for telling me, I had forgotten. From what I've seen these days, I see the team motivated and focused. Tomorrow I'll tell them this, it could be an extra motivation", he commented.
The fight for LaLiga against Barça and Atlético de Madrid
Finally, Carlo Ancelotti was asked about the dynamics of Real Madrid's direct rivals in LaLiga. The coach believes that everything is about moments and that the fight will be very much alive until the last moment.
"As happened to us in November, it happened to Barcelona in December. You have a slump, and then you become competitive as before. Barcelona and Atlético have the same chances to compete for the League with us", he concluded.
