Ancelotti Confirms That Mbappé Has been Substituted Due to Discomfort: 'He Has...'
The French attacker will undergo tests in Madrid, although everything points to a muscle strain
Bitter victory for Real Madrid in Bergamo. Kylian Mbappé set off all the alarms during the first half of the game. The Frenchman, who had opened the scoring a few minutes into the game with a great play, had to leave injured.
Half an hour into the game, Kylian Mbappé threw himself to the ground and asked for a substitution while the assistants came in. The Frenchman could not continue playing and had to be replaced by Rodrygo Goes, who had already been warming up for some time.

Kylian Mbappé was unable to finish the first half
The French forward began to feel discomfort in the 18th minute, after a run towards the opponent's goal. Since that moment, Rodrygo Goes himself had already warmed up intensely, so it seemed that Kylian Mbappé's injury was just a matter of time.
And so it was. Minutes later, Carlo Ancelotti made the substitution when he saw that his star player could not give more of himself. Injury problems persist and it seems difficult to see a Real Madrid game that doesn't end up with an injured player.
Ancelotti's message about Mbappé
First of all, the Italian wanted to praise the few minutes that Kylian Mbappé was on the field. During that time, the striker ended up scoring a goal.
"Mbappé has started very well. (...) He could have given us more if it weren't for the injury. With Mbappé at 100% it would've been a better match," the Italian explained to the media.
However, the Real Madrid coach confirmed that the player was barely able to start a run. "He couldn't sprint, it bothered him a bit and we preferred to change him," he said.
Carlo Ancelotti also stressed that "the schedule is demanding and the team is small", so he is not surprised that there are so many injuries. A message just a few days before the start of the winter transfer market.
Kylian Mbappé will finally undergo tests on Wednesday, but his hamstring discomfort doesn't indicate a serious injury. The Reggiolo coach believes that he will not be fit for the match against Rayo Vallecano, but that he will be fit for the Intercontinental Cup final.
