Ancelotti Doesn't Hold Back and Makes a Request to Laliga, Rfef, and Cta Live: 'a C...
The Italian coach calls for a 'cleanest possible' competition when questioned about the referees.
Carlo Ancelotti spoke clearly at the press conference before the match against Girona, corresponding to matchday 25 of LaLiga. The Real Madrid coach was questioned about his opinion on the fairness of the competition and did not hesitate to respond.
The Italian, a year ago, had already stated that he did not believe LaLiga was rigged. Despite the recent incidents that have affected Real Madrid, such as the refereeing decisions in the matches against Espanyol and Osasuna, Ancelotti maintains his stance.
"I maintain my opinion," the coach assured, adding: "I want the competition to be as clean as possible."
With this statement, Ancelotti made clear his desire for LaLiga, the RFEF, and the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) to ensure that the competition is fair for all teams.
Madrid Harmed
Real Madrid has recently been harmed by controversial refereeing decisions. In the match against Espanyol, Carlos Romero's tackle on Mbappé, which ended in a yellow card, was highly questioned as he was the subsequent scorer of the winning goal.
In the match with Osasuna, Ancelotti expressed his displeasure over several uncalled penalties, the penalty of Camavinga on Budimir in a residual stomp, and especially, the expulsion of Bellingham.
These situations, along with the information about Munuera Montero, a referee involved in some of these controversies, have raised suspicions about possible conflicts of interest.

In Search of Impartiality
Ancelotti did not hesitate to mention these facts, pointing out that it is essential for LaLiga to act to ensure that there are no favoritism or decisions that affect the normal development of the competition. "Decisions must be transparent and clear," added the coach.
With his intervention, Ancelotti has put the spotlight on a sensitive issue for many teams and has made a direct request to the Spanish football authorities to take action. Cleanliness and transparency in refereeing must be a priority, according to the Real Madrid coach.
Despite the recent scandals, Ancelotti continues to defend a competitive and fair league, where teams can compete without the shadow of refereeing controversies.
