Ancelotti Points to 3 Players as Responsible for the Defeat: 'during...'
Real Madrid's Italian coach spoke about the team's performance after the defeat
After a disastrous afternoon, Carlo Ancelotti appeared in the press room of the Benito Villamarín stadium to offer his analysis of the match. Real Madrid, which started winning thanks to a goal by Brahim, ended up witnessing firsthand the comeback of Real Betis (2-1).
"Bad match. We started well, but then we weren't able to maintain the initial pace in terms of attitude and commitment. We lost control of the match against a team that played better and deserved to win", explained Ancelotti first.
"It's a hard blow. We have to react. Losing at this point in the season is costly because all the teams are running and we didn't do well in this match", he commented.

A Direct Message for the Attackers
Carlo Ancelotti, far from making excuses, stated that Real Betis played a better match than Real Madrid. Additionally, the Italian coach sent a rather direct message to the pieces of Madrid's attack.
"The front line is there to, when you can't press, cut passes between lines and, when you're doing well, like in the first half, put pressure on the back four. During the first 20 minutes we did well and the other 70, poorly", he explained.
"The good position on the field in the first 20 minutes we weren't able to maintain afterward. We lost 27 balls in the first half, too many losses, and Betis got back into the match", added the coach.
About Kylian Mbappé's Substitution
One of the most striking aspects of the match was the substitution of Kylian Mbappé. The Frenchman, with 15 minutes left and Real Madrid trailing, left the field for Endrick.
"He had the problem with his tooth and hasn't trained much. He wasn't at his best level. To avoid problems, I preferred to take him out and put in Endrick, who is in a good dynamic", said Carlo Ancelotti.

Finally, the Madrid coach once again left some quite strong words regarding Tuesday's Champions match.
"If we play like this, we're not going to win on Tuesday, that's quite clear. Hopefully, this match serves to wake us up, to be a lesson. It seemed that in recent times the team was much more organized and compact, but today we weren't able to do it like in previous matches", he concluded.
