Surprise against Mallorca: Ancelotti Prepares an Unexpected Change for the Supercopa
Carlo Ancelotti already has his starting eleven in mind for the Spanish Supercopa semifinal game
Real Madrid started the year with an authentic thrashing in the Copa del Rey game against Deportiva Minera. That great debut needs to be repeated in Carlo Ancelotti's team's first game in the Spanish Supercopa against RCD Mallorca.
Real Madrid traveled with the entire expedition to Jeddah, except for the absences of Dani Carvajal and Éder Militão. The Whites will have to face RCD Mallorca, which is currently sixth in the league standings. The last game between the two ended in a one-one draw in the first round of LaLiga.
What's Real Madrid's possible line-up?
Despite having used the "B unit" against Deportiva Minera in the Copa, Ancelotti will have to opt for the first team players. Besides the absences of Dani Carvajal and Éder Militão, David Alaba is also added to the list, as he travels but doesn't play.
Vini has also been included in the team, awaiting his sanction after being sent off at Mestalla in the Valencia-Real Madrid game for an aggression against the Macedonian. The player has received a two-game suspension, but he will serve it in LaLiga against UD Las Palmas and Real Valladolid.
Undoubtedly, Fede Valverde won't be missing from the Italian coach's plans, being the player with the most minutes on his legs. Nor will Jude Bellingham, in one of his best scoring streaks.
The starting eleven is expected to be: Courtois; Mendy, Antonio Rüdiger, Tchouaméni, Lucas Vázquez; Fede Valverde, Camavinga, Jude Bellingham; Kylian Mbappé, Rodrygo, and Vinícius Jr.
Tchouaméni returns to defense
Carlo Ancelotti will continue opting for the back four formed by Ferland Mendy, Antonio Rüdiger, Tchouaméni, and Lucas Vázquez. Eduardo Camavinga is expected to return to the midfield, so the Frenchman would take over the left flank.
On the other hand, Carlo Ancelotti continues to confirm that Tchouaméni is far ahead of Raúl Asencio. The Italian was amazed by the qualities of the young Spanish defender, but he prefers the Frenchman even though he's not originally a center-back. Finally, Antonio Rüdiger and Lucas Vázquez will complete Real Madrid's back four against RCD Mallorca.
