They Reveal What Dimitrievski Said to Vini in Mestalla, Then He's Provocative...
Valencia's Macedonian goalkeeper sought Vinícius's expulsion from the very first moment
At the end of last Tuesday, the final sanction for Vinícius was announced after what happened at Mestalla. The Brazilian forward has been sanctioned with a two-game ban by the Disciplinary Committee of the RFEF. The expulsion he suffered in Valencia after pushing goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski means he'll miss the games against Las Palmas and Real Valladolid.
The sanction in question was determined after reviewing what was written in the report by Soto Grado after the game. "For acting violently outside the scope of play, not being in a position to contest the ball or with the game stopped", it reads. Additionally, Real Madrid receives an additional fine of 700 euros and Vinícius another 600 euros.
Why was Vinícius expelled?
According to Soto Grado in the report itself, the expulsion was for hitting an opposing player. "Hitting an opponent in the head deliberately, without the ball being in play, using significant force", wrote the referee from La Rioja.
The referee, who didn't fully see the action live, was called by his colleagues in the VAR to review what happened. Soto Grado, already at the screen, only sees the part where Vinícius charges against Stole Dimitrievski and not what happens beforehand.
In Real Madrid, there's been a lot of annoyance about what happened, as they believe the expulsion shouldn't have been carried out. The club, in light of the two-match sanction, will continue working so that Vinícius can play the two matches he is theoretically supposed to miss.
What did Stole Dimitrievski do?
As reported by "El Chiringuito de Jugones," the encounter between Vinícius and Dimitrievski dates back. At the moment of the penalty missed by Jude Bellingham, the Macedonian was already seeking out the Madrid striker to say a couple of things.
At that moment, before the penalty, Vinícius grabs the ball and hands it to Bellingham in the presence of the goalkeeper. "Who's going to take it?", asked Dimitrievski. "You take it", the goalkeeper told the Brazilian.
In reply to those remarks, Vinícius didn'thing but laugh, but he didn't respond at all, so Stole Dimitrievski continued. "You don't dare to take it", commented the goalkeeper.
It's from that moment that a rivalry begins, which we all know how it ends. Vinícius had to leave Mestalla expelled, although Real Madrid ended up scoring two goals against Dimitrievski himself.
