Ancelotti's confession about Mbappé and penalty kicks: 'Never...'
Carlo Ancelotti was asked about Kylian Mbappé in his latest interview
"France Football" conducted an interview with Carlo Ancelotti in the last few hours to discuss current soccer events. Beyond questions about his work with Brazil, the coach answered quite a few questions about Real Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti was asked about Neymar, whom he might not draft for the 2026 World Cup due to his poor performance. However, he also commented on several things regarding Real Madrid players such as Vinícius or Kylian Mbappé himself.
"The only team I could coach after Brazil would be Real Madrid. I have a year left on my contract here (one year) and then anything can happen", Carlo Ancelotti wanted to make clear.

Kylian Mbappé never asked Carlo Ancelotti for anything
Speaking about Kylian Mbappé, Carlo Ancelotti wanted to refute that supposed ego of the Frenchman that has sometimes been mentioned in certain sectors of the press. "In one year, Mbappé never asked me for anything, not to take penalties, to play, not to play, to take free kicks... He always behaved very well, with a lot of humility", he explained.
"He had a season at a very high level. He scored 44 goals, but I think this second season will be better because he's already adapted and his teammates know him well", Carlo Ancelotti pointed out about Kylian Mbappé.
In addition, the Italian was also asked about Vinícius, whom he once again has under his command in Brazil. "I have a fantastic relationship with Vinícius, he does what I ask and I've never had problems with him", he commented.
However, Carlo Ancelotti also made it clear that now he doesn't have to constantly manage the players' moments. "When you coach a national team you don't have those problems so often. Now I don't have the obligation I had at a club to manage a player throughout the whole season", he replied.

He had bad luck in his last year with Real Madrid
Finally, Carlo Ancelotti wanted to make it clear that his last season at Real Madrid was full of difficulties. It was a season in which there were a multitude of injuries and he had to make adjustments to complete his starting elevens on some occasions.
"We didn't win what we wanted. We had too many absences in defense and it was difficult to build a solid team to support the quality in attack", Carlo Ancelotti explained.
