Ancelotti's Reply to the News that Real Madrid Won't Transfer: Asencio Affected
Ancelotti immediately replies to Real Madrid's stance and Raúl Asencio will be the guinea pig
Throughout the season, Real Madrid has been seen with a great deal of trouble in every game. This is due to the drops in performance of certain players.
One of the most obvious has been that of right wing; with the loss of Dani Carvajal, Lucas Vázquez hasn't been up to standard. That's why it is expected that a transfer will be made in this sector for the winter market.
However, the board doesn't seem to have those plans on their priority list and, therefore, could rely on other players. One of the main candidates to replace Lucas Vázquez would be Raúl Asencio. This is based on the fact that the player has already been trained recently in this position and it could now be his role.

Although it is true that he has been characterized as a player with quite good defensive qualities, this is not his best position. Something that will clearly end up affecting him, since he is once again a patch in this sector.
They will not sign in January
The board, against all odds, is against transfer any player in the winter market, as they already have specific plans for next season. This is despite the urgency to have someone of weight in this position as soon as possible.
With players in the spotlight like Trent Alexander-Arnold, ready to arrive in the summer transfer market, the board's decision seems simply immutable. That's why the change in the training regime of the academy player could now be to adapt him to the wing sector.

The youth academy player has played several minutes in the first division and even in the Champions League recently. He has shown on each occasion that he is quite strong in his tackle and that he can definitely be a first team player. However, adapting him to this position is simply looking for another patch for the club.
We'll see if it works
The idea doesn't seem far-fetched considering the situation of the team and the future plans of the board. However, as we have already seen, patching up certain sectors of the team doesn't end up being a good idea in the long term.
