Arda Güler asks for playing time at Real Madrid and then does this when Xabi Alonso watches him

Real Madrid has been very active during the special transfer window that FIFA has enabled before the Club World Cup, but it is also aware of the potential of the squad now led by Xabi Alonso. The new signings only serve to improve the group's potential.

Dean Huijsen, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Franco Mastantuono are top-tier reinforcements for Madrid, which hopes to finalize the transfer of Álvaro Carreras after the World Cup ends. The Galician footballer was registered in the competition by Benfica, which initially agreed to sell the full-back.

Madrid may resume other operations, such as acquiring a creative midfielder. Losing Toni Kroos first, then Luka Modric, could have negative consequences for the team, both in play and in the hierarchy within the locker room. Xabi is aware and may have taken action, demanding that the club sign Martín Zubimendi.

All this while the team has already been training, since last Sunday, in Florida. The training sessions the group is holding at The Gardens North County District Park sports facilities in Palm Beach have been intense, and one footballer is standing out above most.

Güler stands out

Arda Güler, who could be affected by Mastantuono's arrival, has faced the situation with courage and determination, and has started working harder than anyone else. The Turk joined his teammates in the United States after being one of the internationals who played latest with his country.

The "15" is making an impact on Alonso, who has even been surprised by his physical strength, and in Monday's training session he scored a stunning goal that left even Modric speechless, with whom Arda embraced after scoring. Without a doubt, we are witnessing the past—present, for a short while—and future of Madrid.
