Arsenal prepares a low offer for Rodrygo, Florentino asks for much more money
The white President has set a very clear limit to allow the player's departure
One of the sagas that keeps circulating around Real Madrid despite its participation in the Club World Cup is starring Rodrygo Goes. The complicated situation of the Osasco forward in the first team, even with Xabi Alonso as Carlo Ancelotti's replacement, increases all the speculation in that regard.
In this context, most of the reports published in recent days place Rodrygo further and further away from Santiago Bernabéu locker room. One of the main offers for the "11" verdeamarelo is in the Premier League and keeps making efforts and moves to get closer to that highly desired signing.

So much so that its bosses have reportedly ordered the preparation of an offer valued at ÂŁ70 million (70 millones de libras). That proposal sent from the upper echelons of Emirates Stadium doesn't make much sense for those in the Valdebebas offices, given that it doesn't reach the minimum transfer fee.
Arsenal's first attempts to secure Rodrygo Goes's registration aren't working. Not because Real Madrid isn't willing to let the South American striker leave: He doesn't have a guaranteed starting spot and keeps losing ground in Xabi Alonso's plans.
Signing on the table
Real Madrid is prepared to let Rodrygo Goes leave, but it won't do so at any price. The Madrid board has set a minimum transfer fee for the footballer close to €100 million (100 millones de euros), an amount that the initial offer from the gunner club doesn't reach. According to current exchange rates, Arsenal would be willing to pay about €81 million (81 millones de euros) for the Madrid footballer.
That amount doesn't convince the club's leadership. The club's sporting management believes that the role Rodrygo Goes has played in previous seasons, as an undisputed starter, is the main factor for demanding a nine-figure transfer. His high profile in European soccer's elite would also come into play, a factor that would considerably increase his exit price.

Rodrygo Goes's situation has become more complicated over time. While it's true that he started the Club World Cup as a starter, Xabi Alonso decided to try other approaches in which he wouldn't have a place or could only play from the bench. It seems that Rodrygo wouldn't be willing to accept that secondary role to which he has been relegated since the start of the Club World Cup: his sale is already starting to take shape.
That operation won't be completed unless the offers for the Carioca striker improve the financial terms of their approaches to Real Madrid. Florentino Pérez is setting a release barrier at €100 million (100 millones de euros) during the initial stages of this saga... although the persistence of clubs like Arsenal itself could open the door to a lower negotiation.
