The last straw: a 'son' of Negreira and a former Atlético player to appoint referees in LaLiga
The Negreira case keeps yielding results, and now one of his sons and a former Atlético member will appoint the referees for the competition
If we have to talk about scandals in the world of soccer, especially when it comes to modern times, the Negreira Case immediately comes to the surface. While there are others like the terrible and controversial case known as "Calciopoli," this one could even be more irreverent. However, it seems that this case, although still under investigation, continues to cause turmoil with the appointment of Fernando Teixeira Vitienes who will be in charge of choosing the referees for LALIGA matches.
For many, it could be a minor detail, if it weren't for the fact that the Cantabrian referee rose as one of Sánchez Arminio's "godsons" and, therefore, was key during Negreira's era. In addition, among his close circle in this regard is the controversial name of Gregorio Manzano, former Atlético de Madrid coach. It seems that controversy never ends.

Designations made to order
It's not enough to talk only about the fact that someone who benefited from the Negreira era is at the head of this role, but also that someone so strongly linked to the anti-Madridist circle is as well. Teixeira was a first division referee from 2003 to 2015, and he was involved in that tense match against Barça in 2011 in the Spanish Super Cup first leg, with expulsions and all.
In addition, Manzano, who went through clubs like Sevilla, Mallorca, and Atlético de Madrid is one of his most important associates. It should be emphasized that the relationship between the white club and these clubs and players is far from the best.

These names, along with others within the cabinet imposed by Fran Soto, will put the Merengue team in trouble on more than one occasion. This is a situation that, even with the revolution in the CTA, doesn't seem likely to change completely.
To keep going no matter what
The board, in part, is prepared for what's coming with this new administration that, for many, the only new thing about it is the names of those involved. Therefore, controversy, as in every season, will be served on a silver platter and, coincidentally, Real Madrid will be one of the main victims... again.
