Cardoso's arrogance
At 23 years old, Johnny Cardoso was one of the great surprises of LaLiga last season. As it was his first campaign in European soccer, the American pivot managed to earn a place in the starting eleven. Despite having teammates like Isco, Cardoso managed to play a total of 3,387 minutes (3,387).
Standing out for his defensive qualities, his recent words show his arrogance. Atlético de Madrid, despite its titles, has never managed to be on Real Madrid's level. As an example of this are the two Champions League finals that the White club managed to win over Atlético.
Although this transfer window has sparked a lot of excitement among the Colchonero fans, this could disappear. Although Atlético has strengthened a lot, it still isn't on Real Madrid's level. Even with his experience in LaLiga after his campaign with Real Betis, Cardoso won't be enough to surpass the Merengue team.
Real Madrid's calm
Although it doesn't seek to be overconfident, Real Madrid isn't worried about Cardoso's words. Huijsen, Carreras, Trent, and Mastantuono have been its signings in this transfer window. Young, talented players and, of course, much better than Johnny Cardoso.
