Balboa and Pedrerol Star in a Historic Clash Over Guardiola: 'don't Tell Me...'
The former player and the host had a heated debate on 'El Chiringuito'
After Real Madrid's victory in the Champions League against Manchester City (3-1), "El Chiringuito" aired a program analyzing what happened. Josep Pedrerol, along with the rest of the collaborators and panelists, talked in the studio about the latest news and what happened at Bernabéu.
However, there were also moments of some tension at certain points. Among them, one of the most notable was the heated debate between Josep Pedrerol and Javier Balboa, a former Real Madrid player.
What Did Javier Balboa Say?
Meanwhile, Josep Pedrerol claimed that teams with money had an easier time winning tournaments. On the other hand, Javier Balboa argued that Pep Guardiola, despite Manchester City's large budget, wins championships because of his work as a coach.

"That's not fair, Josep. Today Ancelotti was better than Guardiola, period. Now, saying that Guardiola wins because he's given money is not fair," commented Javier Balboa.
"There are many teams, like Chelsea in the Premier League, that spend a lot of money and don't win. Chelsea has been spending a lot of money for years. Here it has been said that Guardiola's teams have done a lot of damage to soccer, but credit must be given," he explained.
"Tell me how many Champions Leagues Guardiola has won since he left Barça. It seems that for many people, Guardiola is far above Ancelotti. Ancelotti has given Guardiola a thrashing in recent times," they replied to Javier Balboa.
The 'Row' with Josep Pedrerol
"I say that Guardiola is given the team he asks for wherever he goes. Let Guardiola go to Barça now," commented Josep Pedrerol.
"You don't let me answer. He's not going to Barça because it's a past stage and because he has a reputation that the team he joins spends the money because it's him," replied Javier Balboa.
"Guardiola joins a team and they give him the money. If you have Mbappé or you have Haaland, it's easier. If you spend 200 'kilos' in December, it's easier, Javi," explained Josep Pedrerol.
"Of course, but you're proving my point. What did Ancelotti win when he was at Napoli or Everton? In Madrid, he wins because of the players he also has," stated Javier Balboa.
"Well, not Guardiola. Players go to Madrid not for money and to City for the checkbook. It didn't cost Madrid 210 'kilos' to sign Vinícius and Rodrygo, don't be mistaken," replied Josep Pedrerol with a more annoyed tone.
"Look, the team that has more money, logically, has to win. That's my point of view," explained Josep.
"Well, that's your point of view, but it doesn't work like that because otherwise, the same ones would always win," concluded Javier Balboa.
