Barça Mocks Real Madrid's Champions League K.O. After 'Stealing' from Celta de Vigo
The Narrow and Controversial Victory of Hansi Flick's Pupils Serves to Mock the White Team
Matchday 32 of LaLiga Puts Real Madrid Against the Ropes Again. Carlo Ancelotti's pupils must win their next match against Athletic Club de Bilbao, to be played tonight, if they want to stay in the fight. FC Barcelona's victory against Celta de Vigo, full of refereeing controversies, adds up to a seven-point advantage for the entity based in the Ciudad Condal.
The way that victory was achieved at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, beyond the decisions made by Melero López and del Cerro Grande, was a comeback. That word has circulated a lot on social media in recent days due to the match between Real Madrid and Arsenal, the return leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.

Taking advantage of that favorable trend and the fact of having won in extremis against Celta de Vigo, the official FC Barcelona account on X wrote a particular message. "Well, it was a comeback week!", stated the official profile of the culé team on social media, attaching a winking emoji and an image of the final celebration.
This direct mockery of Real Madrid is not the first allusion to the entity presided over by Florentino Pérez that the club led by Joan Laporta has made this week. FC Barcelona makes it clear that "we want to make history" with a publication in which they recall their matches against the white team, in LaLiga and Copa del Rey.
Clear Opportunism
They also pointed out the dates of the Champions League semi-finals against Inter Milan, forgetting Real Valladolid, a league clash between those two matches, in the process. Be that as it may, FC Barcelona takes advantage of their controversial victory against Celta de Vigo, from the penalty spot in the last minutes of stoppage time, to mock Real Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti's pupils, despite the harsh result against them at the Emirates Stadium, left North London with only one idea: comeback. Although they tried to offer their best performance in the match at Santiago Bernabéu, the players coached by Mikel Arteta showed once again their clear and unbeatable superiority.

The narrative of the comeback orchestrated around the match on Wednesday, April 16, came to nothing... and FC Barcelona would have taken advantage of it to mock Real Madrid's irregular competitive situation. The curious thing is that this mockery comes after an in extremis victory that many analyze in a refereeing key due to multiple decisions made by Melero López and del Cerro Grande.
Despite this new mockery received from FC Barcelona, Real Madrid must focus exclusively on the fight for LaLiga. That competitive instance will be tested during Athletic Club de Bilbao's visit, tonight, to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium... where a draw or a defeat would mean the loss of another major title this season.
