Former Barça Talent Scout Challenges Endrick after Failed Transfer: 'It's Better...'
So far this season, the Brazilian forward has barely had any impact or minutes
Real Madrid has claimed another title in Doha, winning the fourth Intercontinental Cup in their history. Apart from the celebrations held in recent times, the debates typical of this season have already returned to the Meringue team's surroundings.
One of the most notable is a player who hasn't been a main character since the start of the 2024/25 season: Endrick Felipe. The '16 ' arrived from Palmeiras last summer, knowing that he was Kylian Mbappé's substitute. Despite this circumstance, many expected him to have a reasonable amount of minutes.
It hasn't been like that. Because Ancelotti seems to have 'forgotten' the Brazilian forward for almost the entire first half of the current soccer season. With very few minutes and despite the fact that his quality merits a totally different situation, the rumors about his future as a white club player are starting to make a lot of 'noise'.
Especially with a view to the 2025 summer transfer window, as Real Madrid executives have made it clear that there won't be changes to the teamin the middle of the season. Be that as it may, Real Madrid has no doubts and want Endrick to continue to be essential in the future of the current sporting project.
Revived comparison
But the young Brazilian striker's entourage is slowly losing patience. Comparisons with other players of his generation have returned despite an excellent performance in less than 200 minutes. Especially taking into account another talent who arrived in the League half a year earlier: Vitor Roque.
The Brazilian player also arrived at FC Barcelona in January 2024 to try to reinforce the forward line, but Xavi Hernández didn't bet on him either. That bad situation, similar to the one Endrick is currently experiencing at Real Madrid, led to a loan to Real Betis. It is at the Verdiblanco team where he is having more opportunities to demonstrate his quality.
Vitor Roque's agent, also a former scout for FC Barcelona, has re-emerged to clarify the comparisons between these compatriots. "Vitor Roque is better than Endrick. You'll see," says André Cury with great conviction about this improvised competitiveness between the two forwards.
Endrick's big hope is that Carlo Ancelotti changes his plans for him for the second half of this season. Given the Intercontinental Cup final, it doesn't seem like that change is on the cards for his future... opening up even more debate about his position in the locker room.
